If you would prefer to learn about this article through a video guide then please visit: Granting Access to Google Analytics
At the beginning of a web project, we ask clients to grant us access to their Google Analytics account; this is so that the relevant tracking scripts can be added to the website before launch so that goals and conversions can be measured through the site.
Our instructions below walk you through how to grant us access.
How to share access to your Google Analytics
- In a new Google tab, search for 'Google Analytics' and click on the first search result to open Google Analytics or go directly to https://developers.google.com/analytics.
- In the new window, click the 'go-to analytics' button in the top right corner to log in to your account.
- Once you are logged in, click the settings (gear) icon to navigate to the admin settings of your analytics dashboard. From here, click on 'Account access management'.
- In the new window, click the plus icon in the top right corner to add access permissions for new users.
- Select 'Add users' and enter the email address 'venndigital@gmail.com' in the email address bar. Then, select the 'Administrator' option to grant full control of the account.
- Click 'Add' in the top right corner, and access to your analytics will be shared with Venn. Once this is complete, you can log in to your Teamwork account and within your project, mark the corresponding task as complete.
