Please note: To enable the Advertising Banner, you must have the Smart JobSearch functionality on your website, and you must have at least one job listed within your Job Search. If you are not sure if you have the Smart JobSearch functionality enabled or if you have any additional questions related to the Advertising Banner setup, then contact our team here.
How do I add an Advertising Banner?
To add an Advertising Banner to your Job Search page, first navigate to the CMS area of Vennture and select the 'Web Pages' section of the left-hand menu. Then select the web page which contains your Job Search functionality.
On the Job Search page, select the 'Add module' plus icon.
Once this screen has opened, the second drop-down, 'Select a Module Type', allows you to choose the module you want to add to your page by selecting from or searching in the list. In this case, we want to select "Promotional Banner Feature" and then click 'Save and Continue' at the bottom of the page.
This will bring up a screen which allows you to select to include the Ad Banner on your website.
Once you have ticked the box, you can also use the same screen to populate the following images:
1. An image that will show on your Advertising Banner on your desktop (this image should be 1200mm x 400mm in size).
2. An image that will show on your Advertising Banner on mobile (this image should be 600mx450mm in size).
Once you have uploaded these images, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page to now populate the following boxes;
List Placement: This is a numerical number that represents the job listing to which the banner should appear. For example, in the screenshot below, we have the number 3; this means that our Job Search will show 2 job listings and then place the Advertising Banner as the 3rd item on the page.
Page Link: This is the page that the user will be directed to when they click on the Advertising Banner
Matching Keywords: Enter here any keywords that a user might search for in your Job Search that you want the Advertising Banner to appear in the job listing response to, i.e. if you enter "Finance" as a Matching Keyword, then any user that searches for "Finance" in your job search would be presented with the Ad Banner. If the user searched for "Tech", then they would not. If you leave the 'Matching Keywords' section blank, then the Advertising Banner will appear for all Job Searches.
You can have as many Advertising Banners as you like so you can match the Keywords to each Advertising Banner as required.
If you have multiple Advertising Banners on your site or multiple Advertising Banners per keyword, then the page will default to show the first Advertising Banner listed in the CMS (you can re-arrange the order of your advertising banners using the drag and drop icon; read more here).
Once the above boxes have been populated, click 'Save Changes', and your Advertising Banner will be ready to review on staging or publish live. For more help publishing your site to staging or live, read our help guide articles here.
