On your website, you may want to show specific Media Hub content on specific pages, e.g. on your specialism page, only showing blogs related to that specialism. This helps to make these web pages more focused on a specific topic and show the expertise of your business with tailored content.
This is all done through a filtered CMS module that you add to your desired page, and then you apply a filter to the module.
How to add filtered content to a page
- In Vennture CMS, via the web pages link in the side menu, navigate to the page to which you want to add filtered content.
- You will need a media hub module on the page to pull content through; an example of one is 'Latest Featured'. If you do not have a module like this on your page already, you will need to add a new module. To locate the module you need to add, navigate to your module library in the webpages list in the CMS and find the correct media hub module for your site.
- Double-click the module to open the module edit screen, and towards the bottom of this screen, there are fields highlighted in the screenshot and explained below:
- Search Filter Type: Use this field to select whether you want to filter against a tag or category from within the media hub.
- Search Filter By Slug: In this field, add the slug of the category or tag you want to filter by, matching exactly how it is entered in the Vennture Media Hub. You can find the slug by going to the category or tag section and clicking to edit the particular category or tag.
- Disable Media Rollback?: Ticking this box will prevent the module from showing other unrelated content in the event there are no content pieces matching the filters you've set.
- Default Media Type: Use this dropdown to define what type of content you want to be pulled through to this module.
- Save your changes, then publish your page to 'Staging' to review it before publishing your page to the live website environment. The filter should now only show content you have posted matching the filter you have set in the module. To learn about publishing your page, read our helpful guide here.
