If you would prefer to learn about this article through a video guide then please visit: Video: Adding Multiple Pages
Once your website is live, you can add unlimited pages. If you want to replicate a page that already exists with the same layout, like specialisms or location pages, you can use the 'Cloning' feature in the CMS to save time.
How do I clone a page?
To clone a page, first navigate to the page you want to clone within the CMS. To do this, select 'Web Pages' in the left-hand menu and select the page from the list which will appear on the screen.
In the top right corner, there will be a copy icon. Click on this to open the page setup window. This screen will be identical to the page setup window used when adding a new page from scratch (see 'Creating A New Page').

In this page setup window, you only need to edit certain fields as the others will already be filled in, using the information from the page that has been cloned. This guide has broken the page setup window into three sections.
1. Page Setup (Basic)
The fields you need to edit in this section are below;
- Page Name: This will be the name that is displayed on the CMS and on the live site
- Page Filename: This is what will appear on the URL. You must use - instead of spaces, i.e., test-page
- Display Name: This can be left blank
- Parent Page: This dropdown will let you select a parent page. Commonly used for specialism pages, team-related pages, etc. If this field was set to "jobs", then your URL would look like this: www.sitename.com/jobs/test-page
2. Page Templates
The fields below will be pre-populated with the information from the page you are cloning and do not require you to edit them.

3. Page Setup (Meta Details)
The below fields are free text fields where you can edit the meta information for your new page;
- Meta Title: The title of a page that appears in the window of a browser
- Meta Canonical: This field is used for SEO purposes to let Google know what version of a page is the main one where there are multiple versions available, for example, when you have country folders
- Meta Description: A short description, under 150 words, of what the page is about. This is used by Google for SEO purposes to present additional information to users
- Meta Keywords: A list of keywords that describe what the page is about
These fields are optional, so they can be left blank, but it is best practice to complete these for all pages on your website. Unsure of how to do this? Here is a helpful guide that explains everything: Meta Tags and SEO
Once you're happy with the information entered in the fields above, click "Save & Continue", and your page will be created and ready to use with the same layout and modules as the page you cloned. You can use this same method to clone and create multiple pages for your website, which will save you time compared to creating each page from scratch.
You can then update the content on your new page(s) and publish the page to staging or live when you are ready. See our guide on how to do this here.
