Speakers are used for podcasts and events in the media hub to add guests for these forms of content who may not be regular authors already for your content (to learn more about authors, see our guide here). You can have multiple speakers for each of your content pieces, and a speaker can be added to multiple content pieces.
How To Add a New Speaker
Within the Speakers Section
Speakers are managed within the Vennture Media hub. To add a new speaker, in the Media Hub, navigate to Speakers in the left-hand menu and click the Add button in the top right of your screen.
This will then open an 'Add' page that is ready to be populated with all the details for your speaker. Fill in all the fields here and then click save to use your speaker in your content pieces.
- First and Last Names: Fill these in as you want them to appear on the website to users.
- Email Address: Add in the email address for the speaker - each email address can only be used once.
- Job Title: Add in the speaker's job title.
- Image: Upload the headshot that will appear on any articles written by this speaker.
Within a Media Item
If you are already editing a media item in the Media Hub, you can also create a new speaker without leaving the editing window. With your media item open, click the red + icon next to the speaker's field, fill in the fields presented in the new window, and then click save.
Your new speaker will be ready to use, appearing at the bottom of the drop-down menu for speakers. You can do this for multiple new speakers in this window should you wish to.
