Sometimes, a job may not show on your website for multiple reasons - this guide will help you to investigate why your job is not showing.
Job Has Expired
Once a job goes past its expiry date, it will no longer be visible on the website. To check a job's expiry date, in Vennture Recruit, scroll down the left-hand menu under the title of 'Job Board' and click on 'Jobs'.
You will then see a table showing all jobs that have appeared on the website; use the keyword search to enter the reference number of the job that is missing (or use the drop-down to the left of this field to search against a different field). Once you have found the job, check in the column 'All Statuses' to see if the job has expired or not.
If the status shows as 'Expired' and the job needs to be visible for longer, click the pencil icon to edit the job, update the expiration date field to a point further in the future, and save your changes to update the job.
Job Post Date Has Not Been Reached
Similarly, if a job's post date is in the future after the current date, this job will not show on the website until that date has been reached.
To check or edit this, follow the same steps as above, but update the post date for that individual job in Vennture Recruit for a date in the past to make the job visible.
Job Tagged Up Incorrectly
If you are looking for a particular job which is not showing up as a search result on your job search page or in a filtered jobs module on your website, check that the job you think should appear has all the matching criteria. In Vennture Recruit, find the job that is not appearing as it should using the steps above, then open the edit screen using the pencil icon. Check the sector/specialism/categories fields have been tagged up with the correct options to match your search criteria, and if not, edit to match and then save the job to update on your website.
Job Details Incorrect In ATS
If you are using an applicant tracking system (ATS) such as Broadbean, check that the job has been set as active in the ATS; otherwise, the job may not have been posted on the website. You can check if a job has been received from the ATS in Vennture Recruit by scrolling down the left-hand menu under the title of 'Job Board' and clicking on 'Jobs'. Use the keyword search to enter the reference number of the job that is missing (or use the drop-down to the left of this field to search against a different field) and see if it returns as a result.
If the job does not appear, that means it hasn't been successfully received from the ATS; you will need to check the details of the job within your ATS to understand why your job has not been sent through to Vennture Recruit or contact a member of our support team to support you with this.
