Disabling or Deleting a Media Item

If you want to remove a media item from your website so it no longer shows, you have two options for doing this - disabling or deleting.

 

If you want to remove an item from your website temporarily or don't want to completely delete it, you can change the publish status of your item to hide it from view. 

 

In the Vennture Media Hub, navigate to media items in the left-hand menu, then click on the pencil icon against the media item you wish to edit. In the editing screen that opens, clicking on the 'save' button in the top right corner will give you options to change the status of the media item.

 

By changing the status from live to staging using the save button, the item stays available in the media hub but is removed from being visible on your live website. Then, if you want to put it back on the website at any point, you can just change the status back to live without having to re-add the item.

 

 

 

If you want to delete an item and are sure you won't need it again at any point in the future, in the Vennture Media Hub, navigate to media items in the left-hand menu, then click on the bin icon next to the media item you wish to delete. You will be presented with a confirmation pop-up to confirm you want to delete the item, as this action cannot be undone and will be a hard delete, removing the item from the website and media hub.
