There are times when you are adding content to your website that you want to include content from an external source, e.g. a social media post, a video hosted elsewhere, or a podcast link. To include these in your content, you can add an embed link which will show the content from the external website on your site, as shown below.
Video example:
To add an embed link for content, you will need to use the code view in any text editor module - see our guide on how to do this here.
To generate an embed link, you will need to get this from where your content is hosted - below. We have listed the most common examples of these with guidance on how to generate your embed link.
Spotify
Within your Spotify account on your selected podcast, click the three ellipses, then select share and embed episode from the drop-down that appears.
In the next window, click the tick box for 'Show code', and you will be presented with the code view for your embed link. You can copy all the code. However, you only need to paste in the URL that follows 'src=' and is between the two " " (highlighted in yellow in the example below). You can then paste this code into a text editor using the code view or add it to the required field when adding a podcast in the media hub.
Vimeo
In Vimeo, on the video you want to generate a link for, click on the share button and then click on the code view button, as shown below.
You can then copy the code that is shown and paste it into Vennture where required. Again, similar to Spotify, you will only need the URL between the two " " that follows 'src='.
If you are logged into your Vimeo account, clicking the share button at the top of the screen will give you the option to copy the embed code directly.
Youtube
To embed a video from YouTube, on the video you want to share, click the share button underneath the video and click on the Embed link to generate the code to embed.
You need to copy the code between the two " " following 'src=', and you can highlight the text in this view to copy only the text you need, or you can copy all the code and paste it into the code that you need.
Sharing a LinkedIn post in your website content is easier than the above platforms as you simply need to click on the send button underneath any post, then click 'copy link to post' and paste this into your text editor where you want to include the shared LinkedIn post.
To embed an Instagram post, go to the post, click on the three ellipses in the top right and then click embed in the new window shown.
Copy the embed code shown in the next window and paste it into a text editor in Vennture in code view.
