During your web build project, populating the CMS is the largest population task you will need to complete. This is a task which we encourage clients to start as soon as they can to allow for the most time to complete and we have created many guides with clear instructions on different aspects of the CMS to help with this.
Below we have listed some key aspects to consider when populating your website in the CMS along with links to helpful guides.
- Create all the pages you require to match your new sitemap. There are no limits to the number of pages you can create in the CMS, however we encourage clients to launch their websites with the core pages required then build out further areas on the website after launch.
- Add content to your pages within the modules, whether they be written text, images, videos or links. If you need more space for your content, you can add in extra modules easily building out your pages further. You can review all changes you make to your website using our staging environment as you work through the website.
- Ensure that all your pages are accessible for users by editing your navigation. You can structure this to match your sitemap with sub-pages along with the core pages and key functions (job search, upload CV, contact etc.).
- Edit your footer to add in key business information and add links in to any policies users need easy access to.
- Don't forget to create your meta titles and descriptions for each core page on the website to help with the SEO performance of your website. The Vennture CMS makes this easy to do, giving you full access to edit the meta data for your pages.
- Set up your forms so that you can capture customer data on your website by creating email templates and adding in the email addresses that would be used to send and receive the email data.
- Once you have populated all your content, review your website in the staging environment to ensure you're fully happy and ready for your website to launch.
